There is a new bot, called Callcoin that allows its users to use its Telegram messaging app to make low cost international phone calls. Users only have to pay using either recharge codes or bitcoin in order to use the bot’s services.

Claims their International Call Rates are Cheaper

Callcoin claims their rates for calling internationally is ten times cheaper than the standard ones. They use a callback feature called Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) which Callcoin claims provides a higher quality calling experience for their users.

How it Works

The average Callcoin international call from France to Canada would cost about four euro cents a minute. Compared to the hefty 10 to 20 cents per minute for other services, it’s easy to see why people are turning to Callcoin. Other calls like Spain to Mexico would cost three euro cents a minute while a call from Italy to the United States would be about six euro cents a minute.

People who want to use the bot simply enter in “@callcoinbot” into the search bar of the app. User then select their language and type in their number for a call back. They can also click the ‘insert your number’ button on the app.
Once a user has filled out the required fields they enter in the number they want to call or tap one of the attachment icons. They can also make a call to an existing contact saved into their app to make the call. Once they’ve chosen a number they simply tap the icon again to make a call.

Callcoin has instructions on their website about how users can sign up for their services. Their website even goes into detail about how users to set caller IDs, use codes, how they can make international phone calls, send credit to other users, and even top up their services.

Features to Make the User Experience Easier

Callcoin does go out of their way to make the experience easier for their users. Their services have several features to help users organize their information and make it easier to manage their international phone calls. This includes giving users the ability to set up several call-back numbers, check their credit on the app, rent a phone number, view their call history, and even set up a caller ID.

Users can even check the incoming and outgoing call rates for other countries. The rates are shown in euros so users can estimate how much their international call will be. Callcoin also accepts payments for these calls through the BitGo bitcoin wallet so users don’t have to register their phone number in order to use the services.
